Celebrating Hello Kitty’s 50th Anniversary at Chadstone - Melbourne’s Fashion Capital
Haven partnered with Chadstone to execute an engaging, large-scale celebration of Hello Kitty’s 50th anniversary, transforming Melbourne’s Fashion Capital into a vibrant sea of red and pink.
The vision included a range of interactive and visually striking elements to create a fully immersive Hello Kitty experience:
- Eye-catching Entrance: A towering 9-meter Hello Kitty inflatable, designed by graffiti artist Sofles with art curation by Eddie Zammit, welcomed visitors and set the celebratory tone.
- The Hello Kitty Café: This themed café drew thousands, offering exclusive treats like strawberry iced matcha lattes and Hello Kitty bento boxes, plus limited-edition merchandise created in collaboration with Sofles.
- Hello Kitty Main Street: This kids’ precinct offered family-friendly activities, including a silent disco and creative play zones, becoming a favourite among young visitors during school holidays.
- Themed Accommodation: Hotel Chadstone joined in, offering Hello Kitty-themed high-tea experiences and special accommodation packages for a fully immersive stay.
- Branded Shuttle Bus: The Chadstone shuttle bus featured a Hello Kitty makeover, transporting guests to the festivities in true Hello Kitty style.
The event saw a strong turnout, high social media engagement, and widespread positive feedback. Haven’s creative approach combined nostalgia with fresh experiences, reinforcing Chadstone’s reputation as a leader in experiential retail and delivering a celebration to remember.
